Helen Pfeiffer (Mauldin)
Helen Mauldin Pfeiffer resident of Conway, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the age of 89. She was born in Hickory Grove, Arkansas north of Newport on July 3, 1928 the daughter of the late E. A. and Vela Cleveland Mauldin.
Helen was in banking for 38 years, having worked at the Bank of McCrory, Union Planters (Regions) Bank of Bald Knob and First Commercial (Regions). She retired in 1989 from First Commercial (Regions). She was a member of Conway First Baptist Church. Over the years, Helen enjoyed traveling with her late husband, S. C. Pfeiffer in their R. V. making trips to Alaska, both east and west sides of Canada and Mexico, camping and enjoying the National Parks and beautiful scenery. They enjoyed many years of boating and water skiing. Helen enjoyed yard work and working out at the fitness center. She went parasailing several times the last being at the age of 85. Helen and S. C. was Winter Texans for 13 years. While spending the winters in South Texas, they made many lifelong friends from all over the United States and Canada.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, S. C. Pfeiffer of 51 years, her parents, three brothers, Loyd Mauldin, E. A. Mauldin, Jr. Neal Mauldin, three sisters, Clara Hunt, Gladys Hardy, Alma Lee Padgitt. She is survived by one brother, Jim Mauldin and wife Charlene of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews that only knew her as Aunt “Mutt”.
The family requests that memorials may be made to Conway First Baptist Church 1719 Robinson Ave. Conway, Arkansas 72034.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Seth Borne, Patrick Hodkin, Allen Holmes, Billy Holmes, Matt Jamieson, and Joshua Pigue. Honorary pallbearers will be Rance Bryant, Buster Bush, David Mauldin, Jerry Mauldin and Mark Mauldin.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 4th beginning at 12:00 p.m. with 1:00 p.m. funeral services following at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Roy Tilley officiating. Interment will be in Hicks Cemetery near Cabot, Arkansas.
