Obituary for D.F. "Junior" Davis

Mr. D. F. “Junior” Davis, resident of Cherry Valley, departed this life on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 80. He was born in Cross County on Tuesday, January 11, 1938, the son of Mr. Dewey Fred Davis and Mrs. Mattie (Morris) Davis.

Junior served in the Army National Guard, and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and visiting with his friends and family. He retired from Mueller (Halstead) after more than 25 years of dedicated service.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Davis; a brother, Talmage Davis; two sisters, Ernestine Vasser and Pauline Robbins.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Margaret Davis of the home; a son, Shannon Davis of Texas; a daughter, Becky Andrews and husband, Tommy, of Missouri; three stepsons, Duane Doyle and wife, Denise, of Jonesboro, David Doyle and wife, Elaine, of Cherry Valley, and Terry Doyle and wife, Missy, of Cherry Valley; three sisters, Inez Clark of Wynne, Janet Hughes of Caldwell, and Barbara Walker of Wynne; a grandchild, Kolby Wegener; many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

No services are planned.
