Charles Nathan Gregory, resident of Little Rock, formerly of Augusta, Arkansas passed peacefully on October 2, 2018 at the age of 66. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 31, 1952, the son of Noel Kennady and Margaret Stockley Gregory.
Nathan was a 1971 graduate of Laura Conner High School in Augusta. In 1975 he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a degree in Agricultural Business. At the U of A he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the Schola Cantorum Choir. On December 27, 1975 he married Miss Brenda Brawley of Earle, Arkansas. They lived their lives in Augusta, raised their three children there, and Nathan managed the Gregory Family Farm. As a lifelong member of Augusta First Baptist Church, he served as Deacon, Choir Director, Soloist, Youth Director, and Sunday School Teacher. In the community Nathan served on the board of the Woodruff County Farm Bureau and on the Augusta City Council.
Nathan is preceded in death by his father, Noel Kennady Gregory and one brother, Minor Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Brawley Gregory of Little Rock, Arkansas, his mother, Margaret Stockley Gregory of Gregory, Arkansas, two sons, Wade Gregory and wife Jenny of Little Rock, Arkansas, Cliff Gregory of Nashville, Tennessee, one daughter, Sarah Frascone and husband Mike of Prescott, Arizona, one brother, Noel Gregory Jr. of Houston, Texas, one sister, Betsy Arnim of Little Rock, Arkansas, a sister-in-law, Emily Gregory of Little Rock, Arkansas, and six grandchildren: Lily, Evan, and Madeline Gregory, Cayden Pederson, and Adelaide and Conrad Frascone.
Funeral services will be held at the Augusta First Baptist Church on Thursday, October 4th, 2018 at 2:00pm. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Perry Galloway, Chris Eldridge, Kyle Hamilton, Marshall Hughes, David Coleman, and Yates Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Eldridge and Kenny Carpenter.
Interment will be in the Augusta Memorial Park with Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. A visitation will be held at Fronabarger’s Restaurant in Augusta from 12:30-1:30pm prior to the services.
