Rex Lee Hunt born on October 9, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Jennie Goodman Hunt and Henry E. Hunt, Sr. died on November 6, 2018 in Austin, Texas.
He was a Cowboy at heart and dearly loved animals, especially horses and all his dogs, Fuzzy, Stonewall and Ruger. He raised two bulls and a hog for FFA at Lanier High School, Austin, Texas. He was a musician, as well as a published Poet. Rex always loved working with wood and was employed by Patton Cabinet Company until becoming ill. He loved crafts, and made jewelry along with wooden crosses and picture frames. His favorite things to do were barbecuing on his grill, riding horses and driving his old Chevy pick-up truck. Rex was a Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Clara Hunt and Tom and Loretta Goodman, an infant brother, Marty, his father, Henry E. Hunt, Sr. a special niece, Kari Hunt Dunn and a great-nephew, Chad Olsen Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes (Aggie) Hunt, two step-children, Angel Goyeneche and Devin Yartz, his mother, Jennie Hunt, one sister, Toni Hunt Taylor, one brother, Henry (Hank) Hunt, Jr. and wife Dalonna, one nephew, Albert Taylor, Jr. his nieces, Cori Mackey, Laura Napier and Loni Neuffer as well as a host of great nieces and nephews and his life-long friend, Tommy Glass.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be his cousins, Lynn Comer, Steve Comer, Calvin Beadle, Jr., Patrick Hodkin, Jeff Goodman and Michael Goodman.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel with the Eulogy being given by his cousin, Mark Beadle and the music specially chosen by Rex. Interment will be in Fakes Cemetery of McCrory.
